Wire Front
Can i get my front turn signals to stay on?
Hey got a 95 altima gxe and id like to wire the front turn signals to turn on and stay on when the headlights are turned on. And then blink when i need to turn. how should i wire them to do so? i tried connecting the headlight pos. to the turn signal pos. but that just kept them on and they wouldnt blink when i turned my blinker on…..anybody shine a little light? lol
Sorry but it isnt as simple as splicing a few wires.
You have two options.
1. Search long and hard on the internet for a relay. I believe ebay seller “asiancycle” still sells constant on blinker conversions for motorcycles that can also be used on cars. They will cost you around $30 shipped.
2. You will have to use a dual filament bulb. Currently you car uses a 1156 socket and 1156 bulb with a single filament. You can buy the new bulbs and new sockets you need at autozone for around $10. Then you can wire them up so that the 8watt filament stays lit all the time and the 27 watt filament comes on when you turn on the blinker.
