It’s my B-day and I didn’t get anything I wanted?

Today is my B-day and I got a couple presents but nothing i wanted. I got underwear, A REALLY ugly nightgown, a book ( I HATE THE SERIES, And i asked for a diff book.) and a bracelet set. (WTF?!?) Why didn’t they get me what i wanted? PS i didn’t want ANTHING I wanted. And the things i wanted weren’t expensive…

It’s sad when people give you gifts you don’t like, because it feels like they haven’t really bothered to know you well enough to know what you would want. Maybe you can exchange the book for the one you want? If it is a new book, the store should allow this even without the receipt.
I don’t know why they didn’t get you what you wanted, but it probably was not on purpose. At least they got you some things, so they were trying to make some effort. Maybe they didn’t know what you wanted. It can be really hard to figure out what to get as a gift for some people, even though they think it should be obvious. I’m sure you have had trouble figuring out what to get for someone before, and may not have always picked the right thing. Just try to be gracious and appreciate the thought.
