75g Tank Stocking List?
What do you think about this stocking for my new 75g tank:
75g tank
2 AquaClear 55 and Heater
SUBSTRATE
Bottom layer : pool filter sand
Top : small, smooth pebbles
Assorted plants & driftwood
FISH:
- 4 keyhole cichlids
- 10 cardinal tetras
- 10 black neon tetras
- 10 corydoras
-1 bushynose pleco
What do you think?
By the way I won’t be breeding the keyholes. If the do, I will remove the eggs. Any suggestions are welcome
The pebbles are not exactly black, but they do contast nicely against the sand. And yes most (if not all) of my plants will be live. I might put a few silk though
Ian- sorry, i should have been more clear. What i meant is that i will not be keeping any fry. I know i have to control over what they do.

You really should use a canister filter but aquaclears are sweet filters.
Plants are a good idea to create cover, the cories will be looking for cover and need it to live long healthy lives.
Ever thought of adding 5 or 6 torpedo barbs…
One of the best center piece fish for freshwater aquariums.
Make sure you stir the sand every couple weeks to remove dead spots the sand creates due to its zero O2 environment near the bottom.
If you keep the heat up abit like 78-79 that might stop the cichlids from breeding aswell.
