Is it True about non-cotton underwear and electric shocks?
I have a friend here who swears that there is a correlation between non-cotton undies and electric shocks? Apparently according to him, if you wear synthetic underwear you are more likley to get a static ZAP!
Could this be true? Does the world know? I need to know!!!
The answer is DEFINITELY..Yes.
However and there IS an However.
The E/shock will depend on the actual person.
Some people are prone to Static Electricity.
I have seen a 14 year old boy go to get a shoppy trolley and as he went to touch it, cms away, the
shock was transmitted. and his brother who was very close to him, received the E/shock also.
This type of thing is scientifically recognsied.
People who repair computers have known about this for years..
and wear whats called >>static wristbands
As far as the underwear goes..the static thing can relate to almost anything.
WHY?? not cotton..Cotton does not transmit electrical energy.
