Deep Red

My carpet is deep red, tuscan orange on a beige yellow background. What color for the walls?

The print is the red and orange flowers (big, bold and graphic) on the lighter background. The carpet is really the focal point of the room and I don’t know if I should go bold or neutral. (This will be a GUEST BEDROOM.) Should I match the red? Go opposite with a cool blue? Do a burnt orange. Tried a dark midnight blue as well as a light turquoise and they looked awful.

Without seeing the carpet but based on what you describe, I think a similar coordinating color such as “cavern clay” (# 7701) would look stunning.
